Pruning for More Growth, Part 2
Each one of us needs to regularly ask ourselves what is using up the resources of our time, money, energy, and strength — and then determine whether God is really in those things or whether they’re just things we decided to invest in. Even things that worked for us in the past may need to be tweaked or adjusted — or even gently removed from our lives — so that we can go on with God, bearing good fruit that abides, remains, and brings Him glory. Being a pruned vine can at times make us look barren and small. But the fruit we’ll yield will be worth our temporary discomfort. God wants us to conclude our lives with branches that are loaded with fruit and that have fed a multitude!
