On Sunday, my long-time friend, Pastor Robb Thompson, delivered a very special message to our congregation preparing our church family to move forward into the future. Robb spoke from Philippians 3:13, ” Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,”
In less than a week the congregation of MGNC will meet for the first time in our new church and this is a very exciting time for all of us, but there are also some mixed emotions for some. Hundreds of people who are now part of MGNC were saved, healed, delivered, married, and dedicated their babies in this rather rough and unsophisticated setting we’ve called our home church for more than six years.
Pastor Robb very skillfully spoke to the hearts of everyone encouraging those who need to lay down the sorrow of their past to move forward to a bright and promising future and also inspired us to look to what the future holds for us as a church. So many more blessings are awaiting us in the new season just ahead for us.
Moscow is a huge city boasting 22 million in population which includes immediate outlying areas. Our ministry Annual Report for 2013, included some startling statistics about what our representation as a Protestant Church in Moscow entails. Of the 20,000 that attend church on Sundays, more than 60% attend approximately 10 churches and three of these churches represent about 11,000 people.
MGNC represents approximately 3,700 people in regular attendance and when you understand statistically what our representation in this huge city represents–it’s miniscule.
What a Last Days work we see set before us. Our new church will be a hub through which we will touch the unreached souls of Moscow. A new season has begun and our hearts are filled with thanksgiving as we look towards the future and our next great adventure with God.
Friends, thank you for your continued love and support. This project has been nothing short of supernatural and we want to give Jesus all the glory. We also want to thank you and tell you how very much we appreciate every prayer and every financial sacrifice you have made to bring this long-help vision come to pass here in Moscow.
MGNC will meet this Sunday, November 30, 2014, in their new permanent home! Thank you dear friends and partners, and thank you Lord Jesus for your continued wisdom and guidance. May the Lord be glorified in this new house of worship.
This Sunday will be a very special time of worship and thanksgiving to God. Join us for our first service live-streamed at www.mgnc.org. He is faithful!
I pray you will enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. God has surely blessed His people. Happy Thanksgiving!
I am your friend and partner in Him,
